FixQuote ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the Service, we don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

1. What We Collect

Account information: Your email address, business name, phone number, and trade type. This is required to create your account and send estimates on your behalf.

Business data: Estimates, invoices, customer records, and line items you create. This is the core data you use the Service to manage.

Payment information: We do not store credit card numbers. All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We store only Stripe account identifiers to link your account.

Usage data: Basic analytics such as when you log in and which features you use. This helps us improve the product.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the Service: Creating estimates, sending SMS/email, processing payments.
• To communicate with you: Account notifications, service updates, support responses.
• To improve the Service: Understanding which features are used and where users encounter problems.

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate FixQuote:

• Supabase: Database and authentication (your data is stored here).
• Stripe: Payment processing (handles your customers' credit card data).
• Twilio: SMS delivery (sends text messages to your customers).
• Resend: Email delivery (sends emails to your customers).
• Vercel: Web hosting (serves the application).

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We select services with strong privacy and security practices.

4. Your Customers' Data

When you add customers and send them estimates or invoices, we store their name, phone number, email, and address as provided by you. This data is used solely to deliver estimates and invoices on your behalf. We do not contact your customers for any other purpose.

5. Data Security

• All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest (AES-256).
• Row-level security ensures users can only access their own data.
• We do not store passwords — authentication uses secure magic links.
• Credit card data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

• Your data is retained as long as your account is active.
• You can export your data at any time.
• You can request account deletion by emailing hello@fixquote.io.
• Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (keeping you logged in). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data (export it anytime from the app).
• Correct inaccurate data (edit it in the app).
• Delete your data (request account deletion).
• Object to data processing (contact us).

9. Changes

We may update this policy. We will notify you of significant changes via email.
